Welcome to Malkarid Cultural Centre Limited, a proud not-for-profit organisation championing the rich heritage of Australia's First Nations. Known simply as Malkarri, we are dedicated to the vibrant preservation and promotion of Kalkutungu (Kalkadoon) Culture.
Our foundation is deeply rooted in the traditions and wisdom of Kalkutungu elders, and we are committed to fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of our culture through various forms of expression, including language, song, dance, art, and cultural practices.
At Malkarri, we are actively engaged with the Mount Isa community, offering a unique and inclusive experience for both Indigenous and non Indigenous individuals. Our mission extends beyond cultural celebration; we provide invaluable cultural teachings to our community and serve as a knowledgeable resource for advice and consultancy in both private and government sectors.
